[edit] History
WDAI signed on in the early 1990s with an adult contemporary and sports talk format. It became the market's first urban contemporary FM after a couple of years and was very popular. For most of its history the station leaned in an adult direction, but more rap has been added recently.
On February 18, 2008 98.5 KISS-FM got some competition from Qantum of Myrtle Beach which flipped 107.1 The Sound to Urban Adult Contemporary as Q 107.1.
