WCVJ (90.9 FM) is an American radio station located in Jefferson, Ohio. It is a Christian radio station, meaning that it broadcasts information and entertainment designed for a Christian religious audience. Such stations are often considered non-profit educational in the United States, and WCVJ is not an exception to this: The station also operates a correspondence school for listeners and others called Agape School.

WCVJ is patterned after two other Christian radio stations in Ohio, WCVO and WCVZ. Like WCVZ, the transmission tower of WCVJ is marked by lights in the shape of a cross atop the tower. Despite the similarities, however, WCVJ is operated by a distinct entity from that operating WCVO and WCVZ, the Christian Voice of Central Ohio and of Zanesville (respectively). Agape School maintains only friendly communication with Christian Voice, not a formal affiliation.

WCVJ is now operated by Air 1 which is a nationally syndicated radio station. WCVJ's tower and frequency is used as a relay to broadcast air 1's signal. www.air1.com

[edit] Agape School

Agape School was founded by Myron and Sarah Hubler as a way for Christians to learn more about their religion. The school is not accredited, but instead offers courses solely for personal enrichment. The school eventually received a license from the FCC to operate a radio station, WCVJ.
