WCRL (1570 AM) is a radio station licensed to serve Oneonta, Alabama. The station is owned by Blount County Broadcasting Service Inc. and began operation on July 29, 1952. The station has been owned by the L.D. Bentley Jr family since the early 50's, in 1968 the station added an F M sister, WKLD. WCRL airs an Oldies music format.[1]
The station has been assigned the WCRL call letters by the Federal Communications Commission.[2]
