[edit] History
WBUV started as an urban hip hop outlet as "V104.9" before its current format.
[edit] Programming
Despite billing itself as "local news 24/7," the station relies primarily on the standard Clear Channel programming slate of syndicated programs. The only local show, "Gulf Coast Mornings," airs in morning drive, before ceding to the Glenn Beck Program, The Rush Limbaugh Show, The Schnitt Show, The Savage Nation, Clark Howard and Coast to Coast AM. Weekends feature Cigar Dave and Fox Sports Radio.
[edit] Signal
WBUV broadcasts from its sister station WMJY's transmitter tower in Jackson County.
