WBRR
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
WBRR is an FM radio station in Bradford, Pennsylvania. The station, operated by sister station WESB, is a classic hits format station branded as "HERO Radio" (HERO being an acronym for High Energy Rockin' Oldies), and by "Cool 100" (a previous branding).
Morning show jocks Scott Douglas and Frank Williams, whose morning show (known as "The Morning Buzz") is simulcast on WESB, also double as the station's drive time and midday jocks respectively. All staff is shared with WESB.
The station seemed to find new life with the addition of Douglas in March of 2007. After major changes to the morning show and minor changes to the format that now features classic rock exclusivly, WBRR is quickly becoming the most popular station in Southwestern, NY and Northwestern, PA. In February 2008, Jeff Wemmell was tapped to do 7-11pm on WBRR in addition to his afternoon shift on WESB, providing local radio 24hr a day. The Morning Buzz with Scott Douglas provides the most local news and sports of any station in the Twin Tiers. In addition to hearing on the radio, listeners can find all the news online at www.scottsmorningbuzz.com
