WBRF-FM (Blue Ridge Country 98) is licensed to Galax, Virginia and serves the Piedmont Triad area of North Carolina along with the New River Valley area of Virginia, and the Bluefield-Beckley area of West Virginia. The station broadcasts on a frequency of 98.1 MHz. with an ERP of 100,000 Watts.

WBOB-FM signed on the first time at 5:15 PM December 15, 1961 from the WBOB-AM studios with an ERP of 6,800 Watts. The stations also shared the same transmitter site, both located on Poplar Knob Road in Galax. The station mostly simulcasted the AM station during the early years. The transmitter was moved to the Delhart community in Grayson County, VA in 1964. The FM began an all country format in the early 80's, whereas the AM carried an Adult Contemporary format until 1997 when the format was changed to southern gospel, and the callsign changed to WWWJ. WBOB-FM was purchased by Blue Ridge Radio Inc. in April 1985 and the callsign was changed to WBRF, for the slogan at the time Blue Ridge Family radio. The transmitter site was moved again in 1990, this time also with a power increase to 100,000 Watts ERP, to Fisher Peak in Surry County, NC. The old transmitter site at Delhart was used as an STL Repeater site until its replacement in 2002 by a site located atop Ward's Knob in Carroll County, VA. Both stations still share the same studio building in Galax.

WBRF-FM broadcasts the Friday night shows at the Rex Theatre in Galax, VA., and the Old Time Fiddler's Convention every August in Felt's Park also in Galax.
