What IS the likelihood of WBQT becoming a CW affiliate next month? Especially if they've started to show ads for it.

The reason WBQT hasn't announced a CW affiliation yet is IMO, they have yet to be annnounced as a part of the CW Plus. However, i do think they have no other option but to affiliate with CW.

It's come to my attention that WBQT will indeed become a CW station. As seen on the website, the station will go by "Pioneer Valley's CW".
