Wazirpur is located at 22.8111° N 90.2444° E . It has 44480 units of house hold and total area 248.35 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^[1], Wazirpur has a population of 227115. Males constitute are 50.8% of the population, and females 49.2%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 114254. Wazirpur has an average literacy rate of 47.7% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[2]
