WAZX is a Spanish variety ("La Que Buena") format radio station licensed to Smyrna, Georgia serving the Atlanta area radio market. It is owned by Ga-Mex Broadcasting, along with sister stations WAZX-FM, WGTA (AM), and WCOC. WAZX broadcasts at a frequency of 1550 kHz with 50,000 watts of power during daytime hours and 16 watts during nighttime hours both times using a directional antenna pattern. The Federal Communications Commission considers WAZX to be a Class B AM broadcasting facility.

The radio station has had the WAZX call sign since 1993, when it changed from its long time WYNX call sign. The WYNX call sign dates back to 1965 when the station switched to a Top 40 radio format from a MOR (Middle Of the Road) radio format and original call sign of WSMA[1].
