Wayzata East Middle School (EMS) is a middle school located in Plymouth, MN and is a part of the Wayzata School District. It is the smallest of 3 middle school in the district. The others are Wayzata Central, and Wayzata West. East educates students from grades 6-8. East is the only one of the 3 middle schools who wasn't originally a high school. The school was at first Rigdemont Jr High School but the name was changed when Wayzata West was built.

'Classes are run on a core schedule where all students take the same 4 classes every day for the whole year. These classes are Science, Language Arts, Math, and Social Studies. (Geography in 8th grade) East also offers 4 extra classes for the year. These are taken for one quarter each year unless in 8th grade where the classes are taken for 2 quarters. These classes are Engineering Technology Design, Family Consumer Science, Art, and Spanish.

The school also has an excellent music program offering band, choir, and orchestra the all grades. The school has 2 gyms and a pool for their PE programs which is taken every other day rotating with music.

East offers many extra activities out of the school day. Activities are KMO (Knowledge Master Open), Lego League, Jr High Math League. A 7th and 8th grade basketball team, swimming, tennis, skiing, volleyball, track and field, and wrestling. All athletics are for 7th and 8th grade except for wrestling which is open to all grades.
