Wayne Tunnicliffe is a fictional character on the long-running British Channel 4 television soap opera Hollyoaks.
He was played by actor Joe Marsden.

Wayne was Ste Hay's best friend. He went out with Michaela McQueen, but only because "she was easy", and eventually dumped her by text message. Wayne and Ste made friends with Josh Ashworth and his cousin Fletch to get closer to Josh's sister Hannah, but every time they went round to the Ashworths' house, Hannah was at her friend Sarah Barnes' house.
The next time Wayne appeared, he and Ste started bullying Nicole Owen because her brother Sam blew up The Dog In The Pond pub. They both terrorised her. Wayne and Ste then met up with Nicole in the park, where they got her drunk and made a pass at her. However, Nicole stood her ground and they left her on the floor crying.
He stopped being friends with Ste after Ste got himself arrested for joyriding. He then started threatening Michaela after writing an offensive note about her and brother John Paul when John Paul admitted to being gay. When JP saw what Wayne was doing to Michaela he grabbed him by his shirt, shoved him up against the wall, and warned him never to touch his little sister again.
Because of Ste being in jail, Wayne started hanging around with Sonny Valentine. Wayne soon discovered that his ex, Michaela, fancied Sonny so he mentioned it to Sonny, not knowing that he and Michaela were secretly going out. Wayne made fun of Michaela to Sonny behind her back and Sonny went along with it to keep their relationship a secret, but when Wayne went too far insulting Michaela, Sonny stood up to him and told him that he and Michaela were dating.
According to Nancy Hayton, Wayne's younger brother has ADD and has prescribed medication, which Wayne sells at school. Nancy started buying the drugs from Wayne to help her cope with her exams, as her sister Becca had recently died and she had to look after Becca's baby, Charlie. Because she was looking after Charlie she did not have time to study for her exams, so she started using the ADD medication instead of sleeping. When Wayne ran out of medication, she lost her temper. Wayne promised her he would get more and he tried to ask Nancy out. Wayne got cinema tickets but Nancy ripped them up, enraged that Wayne would not get the drugs in time for her next exams.
His latest appearance was at Amy Barnes's house party where he stole CD's and food from Amy's family and then got caught by Ste and Amy. He then in turn picked up Leah and threatened to drop her but Ste quickly snatched Leah off him and gave her to Amy then Ste turned around and hit Wayne in the face before throwing him and everyone else out of the house.
