Wayne's client list has included: Janet Jackson, Tina Turner, Cindy Crawford, Christie Brinkley, Lauren Hutton, Halle Berry, Glenn Close and Meryl Streep, among others. Born in Bergenfield, NJ, Wayne starred in TV commercials as a child model. Later he trained at the Pratt Institute, studying graphic design, before becoming a fashion stylist. Wayne purports to have learned that he can dress anyone, whatever their size, shape or budget. He has been quoted as saying, "I have dressed every body type from Roseanne Barr to Janet Jackson." Wayne was asked to feature his costume designs in The Metropolitan Museum of Art's "Rock Style" exhibit. The costumes in the exhibit are apparently considered some of the best in music history. The outfits chosen included Janet Jackson's couture dominatrix outfit from the Busta Rhymes "What's It Gonna Be" video, a video which won numerous awards for style and music. The exhibit also featured two of Tina Turner's tour costumes for the 1995-1996 Wildest Dreams tour; the premiere outfit was designed by Wayne Scot Lukas and executed by Gianni Versace. Wayne has been nominated for the coveted VH-1 Vogue Fashion Award for "Most Stylish Video". Other videos that he has styled and designed for have won awards on MTV, BET and VH-1. He costume designed and was visual consultant on Tina Turners "Wildest Dreams" World Tour, and her "24/7" World Tour. Wayne also worked on special opening costumes for Janet Jackson's "All For You" World Tour. Wayne's work as a fashion stylist can be seen on the editorial pages of many magazines including: Elle, Arena, Marie Claire, Us, People, W, Vibe, Premiere, Entertainment Weekly, Italian and British Vogue, and Harper's Bazaar, among others. He is now widely recognizable to the general public for having been the co-host/stylist of the new hit TLC fashion intervention show "What Not to Wear", from which he departed after the first season. He is currently involved in creating a line of lingerie and body shapers that "really work". He is also in the process of releasing his first book on style tips, in addition to a film and television company. Wayne was also asked to be the spokesperson to promote "What To Wear" in photographs with Kodak Perfect Touch. He currently has 18 pages dedicated to him and his style tips in the Spiegel catalog, through which he shows women how to fit their body types and create their perfect "uniform". Wayne has recently been named the new spokesperson for msnshopping.com He will share his fashion tips for real people and will show the public how to shop and create their own personal clothing and home style online.

Most recently, Wayne designed a line for HSN (Home Shopping Network) called Lukastyle. It was canceled in April of 2007. The reason was not released but many believe it was due to his presence on online home shopping forums in which he sparred with those who were critical of his clothing line.
