Wayne Sanstead

Dr. Wayne G. Sanstead (Born 1935) is the current North Dakota Superintendent of Public Instruction. Sanstead holds a doctorate from the University of North Dakota in secondary education. Sanstead is the longest serving chief state school officer in the United States.[1]. Previously, Sanstead served eight years in the North Dakota House of Representatives and two years in the North Dakota Senate and was Lieutenant Governor of North Dakota under Art Link (1973-1980).
