[edit] Add an additional web site link
To your list of Wayne Newton website links, please add the website for the Wayne Newton International Friends Club, Inc. web site, which is www.wnifc.com. His Friends Club members are called "Wayniacs".
[edit] Tone of voice
I've just heard Wayne Newton sing for the first time and when I looked him up on Wikipedia I was shocked to see that there is no reference to his extremely high tone of voice (I assumed, as many others must have in the past, that it was a woman singing). Surely this is a notable feature of his career? Seeing as I know absolutely nothing else about him, I didn't feel I should add it, but I'd appreciate it if someone would.
[edit] Contradictions
These should be corrected: Newton's birthplace is given as both Norfolk, Virginia and Roanoke, Virginia, and the date of his first marriage is given as both 1968 and 1969. DES 11:45, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
Wayne was born in NORFOLK not Roanoke! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.168.221.111 (talk) 17:59, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Surgery
Did this guy have any surgery on his face..it sure looks like that
[edit] Descent from Pocahontas
On Larry King (November 29, 2007) Newton said he is a direct descendant of Pocahontas, through his father's side of the family, and that he is attempting to retrieve Pocahontas's remains from England. This should be added to the article. Badagnani (talk) 02:51, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
In the same interview, Carson Wayne Newton has said that John William Carson had been "mean-spirited", & the source of rumors of homosexuality, & mafia-testimony. The mafia comments had gotten him on a six-person death-list; according to the fbi, the other five had been assassinated. All of this originating from Johnny Carson's humor.
He, also, says that his uso efforts have led to his heart infection.

[edit] Jerry Newton
There's very little info on Jerry Newton. What's the story on him? What was the reasoning behind their split? Obviously Wayne had the voice/charisma/whatever, but was there more to it? The Jerry Newton article is virtually blank. Brainscar (talk) 05:45, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] lawsuit
This article contains a very long quotation by a person associated with a "famous libel lawsuit" in 1986 between NBC and Newton, yet the details of the suit are nowhere to be found. If the suit is that famous, it should be mentioned.

[edit] Genealogical claim
Re Pocahontas and Rolfe. If Newton can prove his claim then it can be included. Without a verified source - and based upon nothing more than self-statement on a chatshow - its pushing credibility too far and I've removed it. Plutonium27 (talk) 00:31, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
