Talk:Wayne J. Riley

It'd be great if someone would footnote Wayne's entry. I knew him years ago in CT, and would like to see this entry approach the site's standard.SLY111 (talk) 15:35, 31 May 2008 (UTC)SLY111
Obviously more must be written, but speedy is only for undoubtedly non-notable people, and a Dean of a med school who becomes president of another is --to say the least--not in that category.DGG 05:24, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
But it is in general not correct that the web page on a university site is public domain. If it does not specify otherwise, it can be assumed to be the copyright either of the person described or of the school. In this case, since it's the president, the school probably wrote it. The only way it can be used as text is to get the school to release it to the PD. But this is not actually needed, since the thing to do is to use it and other sources to write a biography. The information about his career can be used, but not the text itself, except perhaps for a brief quotation. DGG 05:30, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
