Wayne Corporation was a good article nominee, but did not meet the good article criteria at the time. There are suggestions below for improving the article. Once these are addressed, the article can be renominated. Editors may also seek a reassessment of the decision if they believe there was a mistake.

Reviewed version: February 16, 2006

Welcome to the Talk page for Wayne Corporation.

A few suggestions for getting to WP:GA:

  • References: the article was based on more than just the safety link, right? References should be cited within the text, e.g. with <ref> tags.
  • Too many sections: some of the subsections are short and shouldn't be split from the parent section.
  • A little long (but acceptable): you could solve this problem and the one above by using Wikipedia:Summary style.
  • The whole thing is organised chronologically which isn't necessarily the most logical layout, though since I know little about the subject I'll stay out of that.
  • Some of the links are duplicated many times, notably Richmond, Indiana. After the first mention you can drop the link, and unless the context is ambiguous you don't need to keep repeating the state.

I haven't read the whole article, but if I get a moment later I might go through and make a few cosmetic changes. You might like to try Wikipedia:Peer review for further ideas. Joe D (t) 00:46, 16 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:1944 Wayne Works advertisement.jpg

Image:1944 Wayne Works advertisement.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.Betacommand (talkcontribsBot) 00:18, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
