Waxholmsbolaget, actually Waxholms Ångfartygs AB is a shipping company that is owned by the Stockholm County Council and is responsible for the seaborne public transport in Stockholm archipelago and Stockholm harbour. The operations which are mostly tax-funded, included in 2003 about 4.3 million travellers in a region from Arholma in north to Landsort in south.

The company owns 21 archipelago boats and four Djurgården ferries.

The operation of the ships is handled by several contractors, some of them have their own ships.

Waxholmsbolaget has operated in the Stockholm archipelago since 1869. The Stockholm county council has since 1967 owned the company. In 1970 Waxholmsbolaget took over the Djurgården ferries.
