WAXM is a Country and Bluegrass formatted broadcast radio station licensed to Big Stone Gap, Virginia, serving Southwest Virginia.

WAXM simulcasts its signal on 25 watt translator W223AA broadcasting on 92.5. W223AA is licensed to and serves Big Stone Gap, Virginia. Both WAXM and W223AA are owned and operated by Valley Broadcasting, Inc.

WLSD began to build a new FM in the Spring of 1975. The station was completed in early Summer of 1975 and began broadcasting on frequency 93.5 FM. The new station initial format was beautiful music.

The first music director for the new FM station was Russell Fig, who had helped build the station. The FM station began broadcasting in stereo with 150 watts of power.
