The original article was arbitrarily deleted by someone who did not bother to find out the facts before deleting. This article includes references which I suggest are looked at! Somebody seemed to think that it was a spoof! Well please let someone a bit older who knows what they are doing make decisions on deleting articles in future.

With the death of both Frank Zappa ( very well known) and Ivor Cutler (not so well known) in recent years, musicians who are consided 'eccentric' seem to be only left with John Otway - who does feature on Wikipedia. However equal rights should allow room for the equally living Wavis, who, unlike John, (and what makes him possibly unique in this area) chose to retire from television appearances in order to sustain his true 'cult'status', at a time when his tv appearances were popular and favoured. To delete Wavis from Wikipedia would appear to be a stance against the support of a true 'cult' and what it repesents. Equal rights for cult figures!! Wavis featured in the 'BEST OF THE TUBE' Virgin dvd for fifteen minutes, released two years back, which was deleted after only 6 weeks when it was found the compilers hadn't secured permission from a number of the bands featured.! Wouldn't it be unfair - rather than ironic - to delete him again ! Give the poor chap a break!!
