What about the businesses, schools, and landmarks in town? I think that we should put in this information! We've got so much cool stuff here, it might as well be known.--Bee 03:51, 17 January 2006 (UTC)

"Wes Gade, pitcher for Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks baseball team, once struck out 4 batters in one inning during a Varsity baseball game against Charles City in 1996.[citation needed]" I call shenanigans. Unless he pitched for both teams, this seems impossible, since there are only 3 outs per team, per inning. 205.161.214.82 17:03, 28 April 2007 (UTC)

It's possible if the catcher dropped the third strike since the hitter can try getting to first (which he apparently did)before he gets thrown/tagged out. Even if he makes it safely, it is called a strikeout. Then if he struck three other people out regularly...

Waverly is such a cute, perfect-sized ideal American town. Best schools around here! The river is beautiful! I'm not from there, but I have to say it's better than anywhere I've ever been in the U.S.; I do get around. If you are ever in NORTHEAST IOWA, you should see Waverly sometime. I realize I'm breaking the rules by discussing Waverly, IA and not the article! Sorry! 208.126.51.37 (talk) 01:56, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
