Please see also my proposal from long ago on the discussion page of wavelet. The two should remain separate, wavelet moved to wavelet anaysis and becoming a popular science overview, wavelet transform becoming a hard math overview over the different classes of wavelet transforms, there are at least three. Wavelet series is, together with dual wavelet, which should be dual wavelet frame, a subtopic of wavelet frame, which is part of the discretized continuous wavelet transform.--LutzL (talk) 09:26, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
