Waubra is a little town in Victoria, Australia, 33 kilometres (21 mi) north west of Ballarat. At the 2006 census, Waubra and the surrounding area had a population of 494.[1]
Waubra was known as "Springs" until around 1888. The town was served by a Victorian Railways 5' 3" (1600mm) gauge branchline which opened in October 1888. In 1931, passenger services were withdrawn and the line continued as a "goods only" line through to its closure in January 1968.
