[edit] Facilities

The station is located in between Diamond Creek and Heidelberg-Kinglake Road, which provides access to the platform. A level crossing is located in the down direction from the station.

The station consists of only one platform, which has a small pebblemix shelter. A large Metcard ticket machine is located at the entrance to the station, able to dispense most ticketing options available and also accept notes and coins. A small gravel car park is located alongside the platform.

[edit] History

Wattleglen station originally opened on Tuesday, 25th June 1912 as Balee. It was later renamed to Wattle Glen in 1922[citation needed], but has since been renamed Wattleglen[2] but this is not currently reflected in the signage at the station or on public time tables.

The car park is currently being redeveloped to provide additional car parks. This involves creating new car parking areas at both ends of the station. The car park will be sealed.
