Wattle Glen is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Its Local Government Area is the Shire of Nillumbik.
Its popular meet and greet spot is the local general store, where the potato cakes are a speciality. This particular general store was built and opened in 1988. The original general store was burnt down in the early 1900's and was situated across the road from this one. Locals also gather at the Wattle Glen Cricket Club where they can sample an ale or eat some hot dogs while watching the town heroes perform against the teams from the big smoke.
Wattle Glen is a small town wedged between suburbia (Diamond Creek) and ruralness (Hurstbridge). There is very little there, with the exception of the General Store, Tennis Club, CFA and Scout Hall. Wattle Glen also has a small primary school known as Wattle Glen Primary School, and a railway station.
