[edit] History
Watsons Water was established in 1903 by the A.S. Watson Group (ASW) to produce pure distilled water. It has origins dating back to 1828 in southern China and relocated to Hong Kong in 1841. In 1981, it became a wholly owned subsidiary of Hutchison Whampoa Group, part of the Li Ka-shing group of companies. It has grown to become the largest manufacturer of distilled water in the world.[citation needed]
