The Watson School of Biological Sciences (WSBS) is a highly selective graduate school which opened in 1999. The campus resides on the grounds of the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory located in Cold Spring Harbor, New York on Long Island.
The Watson School of Biological sciences was founded by Dr. James D. Watson, co-discoverer of the structure of DNA in 1953. The school offers a graduate degree (Ph.D.) in molecular biology in a highly competitive and accelerated program that is completed in 4 years time. The diverse student body consists of members from as far away as Singapore to the surrounding local area of Brooklyn.
