Waterplace is the name of a new high-rise project by Intercontinental Real Estate Corporation in Providence, Rhode Island.
The two towers, 19 and 17 stories, 235ft and 213ft tall respectively, will contain 193 luxury condominiums. The price range for units in the $100 million complex will start at $300,000 and top out at "more than $1 million". Waterplace is named for its location, abutting the Waterplace Park, which hosts Providence's popular Waterfire events. Private balconies and/or window views of Waterfire are expected to be a major selling point for the complex. Waterplace is one of three luxury high-rise condominium complexes under construction in downtown Providence. The other two are Oneten on Westminster Street and The Residences at the Westin.
As of November 22, 2006, steel skeletons of both buildings had been completed up to the 17th floor.
As of February 14, 2007, the exterior looks about 75 percent complete. Windows have been installed on many floors. Both towers have reached their final heights, making them the 7th and 12th-tallest buildings in Providence.
