Water for Life Decade

The United Nations proclaimed the period from 2005 to 2015 commencing on World Water Day to be the International Decade for Action, "Water for Life".[1]
During the first UN decade on water in 1981–1990, it is estimated that more than a billion people gained access to safe drinking water. [1]
