Watch My Back

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Watch My Back is a book by Geoff Thompson, a former bouncer, who tells his story of the dangers he faced working on the doors in Coventry, England, UK. The front cover of the book shows Thompson wearing a knuckle duster on his right fist, with the quote "I train for the first shot - it's all I need."[1]

Many shops where Thompson held book signings stopped him from holding 'meet and greet' signings due to the 'true crime' classification of his biography. The fact that the front cover shows Thompson wearing a knuckle duster did not help matters. However, Thompson, when questioned about this in the press tells people that the cover is to attract people that would buy the book due to its supposed glorification of violence and instead get them to read about the futility of violence.
