[edit] Extraordinary

This article doesn't yet really explain what is extraordinary about this discovery. The drama of the discovery is worth mentioning too. I'm so dull, I can't even remember what the -cephaly term for "cabbage-headedness" in plants is, which ought to be linked. Wetman 02:10, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

What is extraordinary (or important, at least) is that this is the oldest known tree. Right? As for drama, I'm not sure what you propose, but wikipedia, as I understand it, doesn't aim to be dramatic in the way that many popular science articles/films/etc are. Certainly not to the point where the drama overshadows what was actually discovered. Kingdon 19:59, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

What reliable published sources would you cite for the 'drama'? -- Donald Albury 11:34, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
