This article needs to say what country this marshalling yard is in. Don't assume that everyone who reads it is from the UK. 130.76.96.15 17:56, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Merger Proposal

I would like to propose that Wath engine shed be merged into this article for the following reasons:

  • The engine shed article is essentially no more than a statement on the shed location plus with some context on the line and marshalling yard;
  • The engine shed does not seem notable enough for a standalone article, other than in association with the marshalling yard; and
  • It will assist readers by locating all the information about this site in the one article.

The marshalling yard article is the longer of the two but it is not too long for the merger to create any problems for readability. If the merger proceeds Wath engine shed would redirect to Wath marshalling yard.

If there is something I have missed about the engine shed or there are any disagreements with this proposal, please let me know. Euryalus 02:25, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

In the absence of any comments over the last month I have gone ahed and done the merge. The engine shed information already appeared in the marshalling yard piece except for a minor point about the shed location near the Moor Lane Bridge, which I have now transferred. The merge can of course be undone if a good case is made - if there are opposing views then let's discuss here. Euryalus (talk) 00:55, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
