[edit] Missing information

I hope you like the article. However, it does not contain precise information on every issue and will need to be updated from time to time. The most urgent gaps of information are summarized in the following questions:

  • Are there any indications whether the MDG targets on water supply and sanitation will be reached?
  • The data on water quality and continuity are very poor. Any help or references are welcome!
  • Are there any plans to improve and/or extend wastewater treatment?
  • How do GWCL and AVRL perform under the management contract? Are there indications whether the declared objectives will be reached?
  • Do the problems reported in March 2008 go on?
  • Is there any evidence on the independence of economic regulation by PURC?
  • When the article was written, the very ambitious National Water Policy (NWP) was recently launched. At that time, the only up to date source of information was a newspaper article. Has there been any more information about the NWP itself (the best source would be the original NWP document) or its impacts?
  • Did the NWP actually change any responsibilities in the sector?
  • If the NWP provides for significant changes of the sector policy, how does the implementation proceed?
  • Is there any information on water metering coverage?
  • The information on investment is based on estimates. Additional estimates or (much better) official figures according to sources would be appreciated.

If you have answers or sources of information, please feel free to improve the article on your own, post your suggestions on this discussion page or on my user page. Thank you for your interest and help!--Kerres (Talk) 08:14, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

I suggest rounding off this number: 763,698. Surely most of the digits are not reliable. Coppertwig (talk) 15:59, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

The combined acronym "AVRL-GWCL" is not explained, and the footnoted source doesn't seem to say anything about the arrest of ten people etc. as far as I could find.

I edited to make only the first occurrence of AVRL spell out the acronym and explain what AVRL is: but maybe I shouldn't have moved the phrase "residing in Accra"?

I read the whole article. It looks good! Coppertwig (talk) 21:53, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
