[edit] Pointless redirect
Stub started --Singkong2005 02:00, 8 May 2006 (UTC)
Redirecting this topic to Water resources is pointless (and disappointing), as that article doesn't adequately discuss conservation. Rather than a redirect, this article should be turned into at least a stub with meaningful content. -QuicksilverT @ 16:27, 31 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Created as stub
I've made a start - I can't do more for the next few months, , but I'll try and make the redlinks to point the articles - please help if you can. E.g. I can't find anything in Wikipedia to link to regarding water recycling.
I had written the following, but I don't know if it's verifiable, so I'll put it here:
- However, it can also be important where there is an abundance of water, as the excessive use of water leads to a large volume of wastewater which is harder to manage.

[edit] Social tension
There is much more to be said about the tension between conservation/efficiency goals, and the community social goal of providing adequate life essential services to all people. One aspect is the ongoing battles about privatizing public water supplies around the world. That should be mentioned in this article, and linked to articles discussing in depth. Another aspect is the tradition in the US of requiring the landlord to provide water to tenants, at no extra cost. Is this changing in some areas of the US? What is the history and situation in other parts of the world? What ways of resolving this tension have been proposed and tried?-69.87.204.233 13:59, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
