i don't even remember when it was, and maybe it's not that important, but a watcher is included in the x-men animated series.

[edit] Celestials

Since the Celestials conduct there experiments on behalf of the Abstracts, does that make the Watchers the enemies of the Abstracts? For some reason I dont imagine the Abstracts having enemies.

Just removed this: "All known Watchers appear to be male (it is unknown how the species reproduces — or even if the species continues to reproduce at all)." There was a female Watcher in Quasar and mention of a Watcher family in the last few issues of the first volume of Hulk.--StAkAr Karnak 12:52, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

I have read this comic several years ago and can't remember who watches "the watchers". Not the Celestials due to having conflicting agendas.

There was an "Aril Fool's" edition of the original What If...? comics subtitled "Who Watches The Watchers?". It had things like "What if... Ant-Man fought Galactus?," "What if... Dr. Doom was a pediatrician?," and "What if... Sue Storm were the Visible Woman?" Dr Archeville 00:52, 1 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] A couple of things

First off, I am removing the comment at the bottom of this article that states that "Aron is the best name in the universe;" it's obvious vandalism. Secondly, don't the Watchers abide by a certian set of rules (i.e., Not interfearing with the watched races, not revieling their existance, exc)? And what happens when and if one of the Watchers goes so far as to break this oath? There should be a section directly on this, seeing that I'm not to familiar with the Watcher world. 209.247.5.142 08:27, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

In Annihilation: Heralds of Galactus #2, a flashback to the beginning of the Marvel Universe showed a group of "proemial gods" (contemporaries of Galactus). One of them is "Antiphon the Overseer", who bears a strong resemblance to the Watchers and, the role described for him (observing the universe, but forbidden to act) also closely matches the Watchers. He's only briefly mentioned in that book, and I was wondering if there were any other references to the character that would officially establish (rather than merely imply) a connection to the Watchers. 71.203.209.0 06:59, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
