Washington Union High School

Washington Union High School is a high school in the rural community of Easton in Fresno County, California. It is one of the city's oldest public high schools, first accredited in 1965. It has a large and diverse population of students from the Fresno metropolitan area. Washington Union is one of the few schools in Fresno County that operate as a single school district. It is feed by five school districts in the area that operate their own elementary and middle schools.

WUHS is the alma mater of Washington Wizards guard DeShawn Stevenson who entered the NBA directly from high school. Molly West played soccer at Washington Union for her father, Chandler West, who taught and coached at the school. Molly is now a fashion model and has appeared in Cosmogirl, The New York Post, and D Magazine. The school also graduated Matt Garza in 2002. Matt is currently a pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays.

For seven years, the marching band had been under the direction of Mel Stratton who was a member of the Blue Devils Drum & Bugle Corps. After the completion of the 2006-2007 school year Mel Stratton retired as band director. Former Buchanan High School Band & Colorguard Director, Michael Hipp, has taken over the position.
