Washington Township covers an area of 42.09 square miles (109.02 square kilometers); of this, 0.05 square miles (0.14 square kilometers) or 0.13 percent is water. The streams of Brethren Run, Butlers Creek, Centeral Run, City Run, Common Run, Dry Branch, Franklin Creek, Greens Fork, Martindale Creek, Milton Drain, Shaker Run, Warm Run, Wilson Run and Woodclinch Brook run through this township.
