Washington Township is one of eighteen townships in Appanoose County, Iowa, USA. As of the 2000 census, its population was 804.

Washington Township covers an area of 36.13 square miles and contains one incorporated settlement, Moulton. According to the USGS, it contains six cemeteries: Garland, Hardin, Orleans, Otterbein South, Otterbien and Sunnyview.
