State Route 527, commonly known as SR 527, Highway 527, or the Bothell-Everett Highway, is a state highway in the U.S. state of Washington. It extends about 12 miles from Bothell in the south to Everett in the north. The section between Interstate 405 and Interstate 5 is at least 4-5 lanes wide in part of a 10-year widening and improvement project to support Snohomish County's massive growth. However, the section between Interstate 405 and State Route 522 has not been improved to modern standards yet.

[edit] Expansion Project
The State Route 527 expansion project began back in 1991 and was fully completed in 2006. The first stage involved widening the roadway to five-seven lanes between 228th Street SE and SR 524 and minor improvements at the interchange with I-405. The second stage involved widening the roadway to five lanes between SR 524 and 164th Street. The third stage widened the road between 164th Street SE to SR 96. The fourth and most complex stage widened the road between SR 96 and 112th Street SE. This stage invovled expanding the SR 527/SR 96 intersection dramatically and raising the roadway near Silver Lake, along with numerous pedestrian and aesthetic improvements.
