State Route 501 is divided into two segments.

SR 501 starts at its North terminus at Interstate 5. It continues as Pioneer Street into the town of Ridgefield and ends at the railroad tracks.

SR 501 starts in West Vancouver at the intersection of Northwest Lower River Road, St. Francis Lane, 4 West Plain Blvd., and West Mill Plain Blvd. It continuies on Mill Plain Blvd. until it Southern termuis at Interstate 5.
