Washington County High School (Alabama)

Washington County High School, or WCHS, is a high school in Chatom, Alabama. The campus is also the site of Chatom Middle School, which is grades 5-8. It is the largest school in Washington County, with 617 students enrolled as of 2005. WCHS is the only 3A school in Washington County. The mascot is a bulldog. School Colors are Maroon and Gold. The Marching band is the "PRIDE of the deep South".The marching band went to competition sept.29 and came home with a 2.They all work very hard.Mrs.Sandy Brown is the current band director of the WCHS marching band and Jason Brown of the drumline.The band is attending a competition in October and hopes to come home with a straight 1.
