The Seventh Congressional District of Washington encompasses most of Seattle and Vashon Island and portions of Shoreline, Tukwila, SeaTac, and Burien. Since 1989, the Seventh has been represented in the U.S. House of Representatives by Jim McDermott, a Democrat.
