Warsheikh

Warsheikh (alt. spellings Uarsheikh, Warshiikh, Warsheekh or Warshek) is a town in the Shabeellaha Dhexe region in Somalia. It is located on the coast north of Mogadishu and has about 3,500 inhabitants. In the 19th century it belonged to the Sultanate of Zanzibar.

Most of the population is Celi cumar part from Wabudhan part of Abgaal clan

The tsunami following the Indian Ocean earthquake in December 2004 had a significant impact on the economy of the district, as many fishing vessels were lost.[1]
