Wardrop is an employee-owned Canadian company that was founded in Winnipeg in 1955 under the name of W.L. Wardrop & Associates. The Company was one of the first consulting engineering firms in Winnipeg, with initial projects consisting primarily of public works engineering and housing subdivision servicing.

Wardrop has been named one of Canada's Top 100 Employers, as published in Maclean's magazine, for the years 2003[1], 2004[2], 2006[3] 2007[4], and 2008, and also one of Canada's Top 20 Best Employers for New Canadians for the year of 2008[5].
