[edit] Lowrider band
The article Lowrider band has been or soon will be deleted from Wikipedia. This happened because the article seems to be about a subject but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. You might also want to read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles. -- JLaTondre 05:11, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
- Additionally, please note that copyright violations are not at all acceptable for Wikipedia. If you are copying content which you own, you need to first release all the information under GFDL and rewrite the content to fit encyclopedic style. Please take care not to submit content which is not legally allowed to be here. —Keakealani 07:14, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Lowrider band
A tag has been placed on Lowrider band, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable (see the guidelines for notability here). If you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.
Please read the criteria for speedy deletion (specifically, articles #7) and our general biography criteria. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. xxpor yo!|see what i've done 02:32, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
- Note that I have removed the speedy deletion tag from this page, as I believe the article asserts notability per WP:MUSIC criterion 6: "Contains at least one member who was once a part of or later joined a band that is otherwise notable". Note, however, that the article is still very short and is unsourced, and unless it is expanded, it is likely to be nominated for deletion under WP:AFD. —Swpb talk contribs 02:57, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
Is there a reason you replaced all the internal wiki links in Lowrider Band with external links, and broke the reference tag? —Swpb talk contribs 18:42, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
--Wardrums 14:45, 1 December 2006 (UTC)Wardrums...Plese excuse my ignorance, but I am the original founding member of the band War. I tried to sign in with the (4 tildes), but I can't seem to locate them on my keyboards. We are trying to let our fans know that we still are alive and performing our music that we (wrote and performed). There seem to have been a lot of stories put out in the media that we are no longer living or even worst, of which I will not mention.
I have tried my best to meet the requirements of WP. No, there is no reason why I replaced any of the internal links to wiki. I had our publisist re-write the short bio. We are trying not to offend anyone. All we want is for our history to be correct and not Stalinized by the very people that did us harm. Should I keep the internal links in? And if so please give me an example. Thank you for your help. HB
- For links to pages within Wikipedia, you can put the title of the page in double brackets, [[like so]], which looks cleaner and is easier and faster to type than adding a link to the full URL. The page Help:Link explains wiki linking in all its various forms. I realize my comment probably came off as snappy, I apologize for that. By the way, the tilde looks like "~", and in a standard keyboard layout, it is in the upper left, to the left of the 1. If you have any more questions, please feel free to leave a message on my talk page. —Swpb talk contribs 18:23, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Howard E. Scott
I was copy editing this piece and I think a could suggestion to the biography section would be explaining where Scott went with the army before he returned to the states. I am guessing Vietnam, but I am not sure. This would also make it more explicit that he had left the country. Labrt2004 19:59, 13 January 2007 (UTC)labrt2004
[edit] New image for War article
You suggested a new picture for War. Pictures generally have to be released into the public domain before they can be used on Wikipedia; if there are no such pictures, "fair use" may be made of copyright photos, but this has to be carefully justified. Do you own a suitable picture to which you would be willing to give up your rights? (This is not for use on Wikipedia alone, but for anywhere that it may be copied or altered afterwards.) You can insist on the photo being attributed to you, but that's basically the only condition you can attach. The process can be a bit of a pain, so leave me a message here if you need more advice. - Fayenatic london (talk) 20:29, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
