[edit] What I Have Done On Wikipedia
[edit] Major Contributions
In this section, I will mention pages that had very little information on the topic page. These were edited by me to give more factual detail and depth to it.
1.
- Article Name: Halo Graphic Novel
- Current Status: Not active
- Start mass editing article: 4 August 2006, 22:26
- Stopped mass editing article: 28 September 2006, 09:56
- Logged in as user WarDragon: No and yes (at times) but the user was logged as two different computers.
- Number of edits on article: 49
Comments: After adding a lot of factual depth to the article, it was taken over by Peptuck.
2.
- Article Name: Dead Rising, List of psychopaths in Dead Rising, List of Dead Rising Endings. Frank West (Dead Rising) and Carlito Keyes
- Current Status: Not active
- Start mass editing article: 4 August 2006, 22:26
- Stopped mass editing article: 24 December 2006, 19:50
- Logged in as user WarDragon: Yes and no
- Number of edits on article: Too many to count
Comments: After adding all relevant information about the game to Dead Rising article, the [List of psychopaths in Dead Rising| psychopaths] and [List of Dead Rising Endings| endings] were split from the main article and given there own articles. Didn't mind that, but after my last edit Y2kcrazyjoker4 came in and removed nearly all items, granted some were not wikipedia worthy and basically took over the article.
3.
- Article Name: Digimon's Royal Knights
- Current Status: Currently active but only edit when needed.
- Start mass editing article: 9 November 2006, 17:44
- Stopped mass editing article: 4 January 2006, 23:45
- Logged in as user WarDragon: Yes
- Number of edits on article: 35
Comments: Due to incorrect understanding that the characters aren't really the same as the ones that have been shown in the previous series, someone else changed it. I still help add information or pictures when I can, but due to the series not being over or gone into depth about the characters, the information that is currently know is not much.
4.
- Article Name: Stargate SG1 Season 10
- Current Status: Active.
- Start mass editing article: The Quest (Stargate SG-1)
- Stopped mass editing article: Unknown
- Logged in as user WarDragon: Yes
- Number of edits on article: Unknown
Comments: Basically as where I live we are receiving new episode of Stargate SG1 I have decided to add the summary of the episode for people to edit and change. This is the only article that I have actually received a "thank you"
General Overall View
While I don't have problems with people taking over an article, I just don't like it when they don’t say “thank you for your work and I need to make some edits” but the first two were just more “its mind now” attitude. The third took it over as well but I realized a made a mistake with the information being used.
[edit] Contributions I Am Thinking Of Doing
[edit] Personality
Normally, I like to keep everything written in an article, that i am interested in, to the factual side of the Universe it is in. This includes me to looking up information through official sources and personal observation.
My major weakness in writing an article is that, I can't coherently write a sentence to the way that it should be. I also make the odd, few spelling mistakes.
If you have a problem with any edits I have made please post either in my discussion area or in the topic page discussion section.
[edit] Things I Don't Like To See On Wikipedia
- People taking over an article, which was all your hard work.
- Vandalism
- You having proof of an error or note, yet the arrogance of the other person not to agree, no matter how strong your point is.
- Egotistical people who believe what they say and think is right and everybody and everyone else is wrong
- The "if I change pages, I will gain status and respect" people
- The "old" i won't reply to this person's comment on the article or edit.
