[edit] Comments

First info is up and page is ready to go. Needs cleanup but I thought I'd get the ball rolling. DX927 (talk) 22:44, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Any new bands

If you are going to add a band to the list and you're 100% sure they're gonna play, then PLEASE leave a source to it. DX927 (talk) 04:47, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

Since this seems to be an issue with so many of you.....

The heading says "confirmed by warpedtour.com"

if the band is not listed on warpedtour.com then don't add them to the list.

The other heading says "bands not yet confirmed but sourced other websites."

only put a band there if you have a link to something saying that they'll be playing the tour. Thank you. Anything else will be reverted. DX927 (talk) 04:22, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

Okay, well then can all the bands that were confirmed by Kevin Lyman tonight on absolutepunk.net be added to the list? They were cofirmed by Kevin Lyman which is just as trustworthy as his website.

Ok, give me a minute and I'll take all the bands mentioned in that chat and give it it's own heading for now. DX927 (talk) 04:45, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

Okay thanks.arson5000 —Preceding comment was added at 12:48, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] mc chris

He posted this to his blog on myspace, which is unfortunately blacklisted as a source -- also on his facebook blog, however that requires username/password to access. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mmeyers (talkcontribs) 04:36, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

I'm fixing it now. I removed everything since nothing was sourced. I will get around the blacklisting. DX927 (talk) 18:37, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
Since he has a blog with a title mentioning Warped that can be accessed on the main page of his Myspace, a link to his Myspace is fine for now. DX927 (talk) 18:45, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
He also Has been making announcements about the tour while touring with Pinback....though I suppose that is not a valid source? SpartanVIII (talk) 05:23, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
There's no way to link to that on an internet Encyclopedia. It's the same deal with all the people adding what it says in AP this month. If they maybe had a scanned picture of the article that could be linked to, then that would be a source. DX927 (talk) 04:47, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Against Me!

That article is incorrect regarding Against Me!. The article linked to claims that AP.net said Against Me! would be on the tour, but AP said no such thing. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.37.255.109 (talk) 04:09, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

Kevin Lyman spoke at some college and he was the one who said Against Me was playing. So until there's a definitive answer, they're staying up. DX927 (talk) 17:46, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
Oh, ok, I was mistaken about the article. My bad. Good that they're gonna be on the tour though. 69.37.255.109 (talk) 04:18, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
It's still not confirmed. He may have spoken too soon or they changed their minds (it happens quite often.) We'll just have to wait and see. DX927 (talk) 22:45, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Pennywise

So apparently I was wrong and Pennywise WILL be playing at least a few shows this summer:

"Well before you get all wound up on the next band I'm announcing I want you to go to your ipods or if you are real punk your 7-inch collection and grab these bands: The Briggs, Street Dogs, Bouncing Souls, The Bronx, Against Me, and St. Alvias Cartel. Play them all in a row and see if you are tried of running in circles. Then throw in some Pennywise, GBH, The Vandals since they will also be playing on many shows this summer and see if you have collapsed in a little sweaty heap in your moms living room. There will be more, but that's just a taste of some of the "punk," bands you will be seeing this summer."

That's from Kevin Lyman himself. So now I'll be adding all of those bands to the list until I hear otherwise DX927 (talk) 18:18, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Smartpunk.com Stage

The complete lineup for this stage was announced today on Warped's official site. The dates were on Smartpunk's site. They only left off Cinematic Sunrise. I'll be searching for their dates in the meantime. DX927 (talk) 00:10, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

ADD THIS INFO TO THE LIST http://www.smartpunk.com/warped2008/ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.225.53.25 (talk) 07:42, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

IT'S BEEN ON THE LIST FOR WEEKS NOW DX927 (talk) 07:28, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Mayday Parade

Yeah, I screwed up on that. I always get them confused with Madina Lake. DX927 (talk) 18:06, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Dates

The dates for most bands will be announced on February 20th on Warped's site. Until then I don't think the page should bother having vague dates such as "West Coast only" because that could wind up meaning just California in the long run. There's also the issue of the West Coast being broke up across 2 different legs of the tour. DX927 (talk) 21:16, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Between The Trees

warpedtour.com says they'll be on the whole tour..but this says otherwise —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.59.164.10 (talk) 22:28, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

That's because warpredtour.com changed that yesterday, originally the dates were correct. DX927 (talk) 19:26, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Allura

this band claims to be playing all the dates on their myspace. http://www.myspace.com/alluraband —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.216.53.243 (talk) 01:42, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Venues

The 7/25 show needs to be changed to Camden, NJ instead of Philadelphia. Camden is confirmed on the website now. Also, since camden is confirmed that means that the show will be at the tweeter (Susquehanna Bank Center) again, as it is every year. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.188.77.16 (talk) 02:52, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Jeffree Star?

what the shit was he doing on there? i just went and looked on warpedtour.com and saw nothing about him (or her/whatever it is) so i just removed the dates. Windigo11 (talk) 01:00, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

http://www.warpedtour.com/warpedtour/bands.asp you obviously didn't look very hard. DX927 (talk) 06:15, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Removed Section

I removed the "confirmed by Kevin" section for 2 reasons:

  • 1) Street Drum Corps were just announced for Projekt Revolution which will be running at the same time as Warped. They'll be having their 2nd crew called "Bang!" out at Warped this summer instead.
  • 2) That would leave only Permanent Holiday on that list and if they announce dates in the future they can just be added to one of the other lists.

[edit] Myspace Sources

As dumb as this may sound. We can't put up Myspace pages as a source. Yes, I know that some bands only have a Myspace page and don't have an actual website, but Wikipedia does not seem to want to budge on this whole "Myspace isn't a reliable source" thing. So if you want to have that changed then go through one of the whole discussion things but I'm not gonna bother anymore since I was put on a temporary blocking over it once already. DX927 (talk) 19:30, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Possible move?

I was thinking that maybe all the Kia/Kevin Says Stage bands that are also confirmed by warpedtour.com can just be moved to the Kevinsays section? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.96.218.79 (talk) 21:21, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
