[edit] Injured?
What are the statistics on those injured by the war on terrorism, not only those killed? --Procrastinatrix
Here you can find the US injuries of the Iraq War: [1] wich is 27,186 and here is Afghanistan [2] wich is 16,36. The Honorable Kermanshahi 18:15, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
I've added the number of wounded but I rounded the numbers and put ~ in front because otherwise we woudl have to update it every day. The Honorable Kermanshahi 09:22, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] A few issues
1) Three out of four sources for the Afghanistan civil casualties section are irrelevant as they only discuss the casualties from the bombings, not the rest of the war. Therefore I removed them.
2) Same goes with Iraqbodycount. It is an estimation of how many deaths the English speaking media has recorded in the Iraq war, not an estimation of how many that has actually been killed. Therefore it is a bad source. Removed.
3) Naming. Calling one team terrorist and the other one anti-terrorist isn't quite impressive. I'll change it.
4) Removed "coalition" military casualties statistics from the civilians casualties section. --Merat 22:59, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
- The naming we use on the WoT article is "participants of operations" and "targets of operations." ~Rangeley (talk) 23:19, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Unreliable sources
I have tagged the article as having unreliable sources as it cites other Wikipedia as sources. I have looked at a few of those articles used as "references" and they don't have references themselves. Please use reliable sources and use them directly in this article. If you are taking statistics from another Wikipedia article you should take the source that they use on that page and replicate it here.--Sir Anon 03:22, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Niger Mali insurgency
Please see Second Tuareg Rebellion: this is an ethnic/political insurgency, which has burst into the open at least three times since 1900. This cannot be placed under the rubric of the "War on Terrorism". I'll refrain from editing the article, as it seems to be regularly maintained by a group of editiors, but these references should be removed. Note: these insurgencies are quite distinct from the abu-Syaf / "Al-Queda of the Magreb" group. T L Miles (talk) 17:17, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
