Talk:War hysteria preceding the Mountain Meadows massacre

[edit] Spelling

I understand that changing article titles is "tricky". Just in case this article is being changed, the word is preceding", not "preceeding". Wanderer57 00:20, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

I fixed it. Thanks for pointing that out. COGDEN 01:59, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Merge Proposal

Proposed for merge with Background of the Mountain Meadows massacre. The two articles overlap significantly, and focusing efforts on a single article could produce a better one. --BizMgr (talk) 15:16, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

Since a month went by with no discussion of this merge proposal, I'm going ahead and simply deleting it (although I hope I'm not doing something I'm not supposed to here). I did rename the "Events preceding" article as "War hysteria preceding," though, to specify what differentiates the two. --Justmeherenow (talk) 04:09, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
How many times did the Mormon Apostle Smith go South? #1 MOUNTAIN MEADOWS massacre/Escalating tensions. #2 War hysteria preceding the Mountain Meadows massacre. #3 War hysteria preceding the Mountain Meadows massacre/George A. Smith's circuit through southern Utah. Did he make all three trips on the same date? Didn't this fellow travel to the meadows a year later and investigate massacre? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tinosa (talkcontribs) 05:00, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
