"In Rot ein aus einem erniedrigten silbernen Doppelsparen gebildetes M, unterlegt von zwei sich kreuzenden und unter dem Schildhaupt nach außen geneigten silbernen Ähren, überhöht von einer silbernen Krone“ Erklärung: Das Wappen der Gemeinde Maria Rain beinhaltet vier Symbole der Gemeinde. Die Türme der Marien-Wallfahrtskirche, die beiden Spitzen weisen zugleich auch auf das „M“ im Gemeindenamen „Maria Rain“ hin, die beiden Ähren als Symbol für die Landwirtschaft und die Marienkrone mit dem Winzermessern des Dietrichstein-Wappens, die am Hauptaltar der Maria Rain Wallfahrtskirche 1694 angebracht wurden.
