Wang E

Wang E (王諤) (born in Zhejiang around 1465; died 1545) was a landscape painter who studied under Xiao Feng. Later he served the Hongzhi Emperor who praised him as the Ma Yuan of his day. The two paintings of his that can be definitively dated were for Japanese envoys. He later retired to teaching and died at age 80.[1]
